YOUR EXPEDITION TEAM

BELLA MASSEY

Founder of Immersia Freediving, Head Facilitator/Instructor

For me, ocean adventure travel embodies the joy I’ve found in this world: feeling alive, connected, and high on awe.

In 2017 I discovered freediving. It was life changing. Before freediving, I was scared of the deep water, sharks, currents and waves. But I slowly built confidence, depth and strength, motivated by the thought of diving with beautiful underwater animals. Since then I’ve spent many weeks diving with sharks, whales, seals and other marine life.

Three years later I took the leap of faith and walked away from my corporate career to launch Immersia Freediving. I was bored of the competitive, depth-focused approach of Australia’s freediving schools. Immersia was all about finding beauty, joy, freedom and personal transformation in the ocean, regardless of the numbers.

My favourite thing about this journey is watching the visible change in our guests after they experience awe in the ocean - seeing their first tiger shark, making eye contact with a whale, being chased by a playful seal, or just having a moment of beauty under the surface.

Once the ocean becomes part of your lifestyle it transforms physical, mental and social health. I’m here to help guide the way for as many wonderful people as possible.

EWAN DONNACHIE

Co-Facilitator at Immersia Freediving | Renowned Wildlife Cinamatographer | Immersia Beach Olympics MC

I’m a lifelong ocean and nature lover, spending my childhood exploring the natural world and starting my career as an Australian professional Bodyboarder.

Growing up on the coast of New South Wales, I spent my early years exploring nature, spearfishing, chasing waves and developing a passion for the natural world. Pushing myself to ride some of the most dangerous waves in the world, like those at Shipstern Bluff and Tahiti’s Teahupo’o, taught me how to navigate extreme environments. My transition into cinematography felt natural.

Today, I work as a wildlife cinematographer, shooting on projects with BBC Natural History, Netflix, Nat Geo and Disney+. I’ve been lucky to access some of the rarest and most remotely located animal behaviours. I’ve grown a deep appreciation for the beauty and fragility of the natural world.

I’ve been with Immersia since day 1 as head photographer, host and freediving instructor. I love to co-host our wildlife-focused trips and retreats, capturing the best moments and guiding our guests on how have positive, respectful and ethical interactions. Moorea holds a special place in my heart and I feel truly stoked to be able to show our guests this incredible island.

INAH SHARK

Shark Diver / Founder of our Expedition Partners, Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah

Inah is a Maldivian shark diving expert and conservationist from Fuvahmulah, the Tiger Shark island we will be visiting during this expedition. As the founder of Pelagic Divers Fuvahmulah, he’s spent years giving divers unforgettable, up-close experiences with these incredible animals.

We love working with Inah and the Pelagic team. Their operation is professional, safety-focused and the team are passionate about supporting shark research and conservation efforts.

Diving with Inah isn’t just about spotting tiger sharks—it’s about understanding them. With over a decade of experience in the water, Inah has an unmatched talent for making guests feel at ease, even while face-to-face with some of the ocean’s most impressive predators. He’s passionate about showing people the true nature of sharks, breaking down the myths, and sharing why they’re so important to the health of our oceans.

Through Pelagic Divers, he’s made it his mission to promote sustainable, eco-friendly diving that leaves guests with both incredible memories and a deeper respect for marine life.

We are truly stoked to work together on this expedition.
